
Unfortunately, Tendulkar chose to play for his century, took a single, got to his century and did not go for a four or a six, something that he had been doing for the rest of the innings.
Not that the loss can be blamed on this, but the fact is that there is too much of individualistic batting and the woes double up when the crowds also expect this.
Most Mumbai Indians fans are happy that Tendulkar got to his hundred and none will worry that it is attitude like this, playing for self that costs the team a lot.
Time for us to change from concentrating on individual records to cheering for a team as a whole?
